Naturally Processed with Sugarcane

How do you remove 99.7% of the caffeine while retaining 100% of the flavor? The answer lies in the natural EA process (Ethyl Acetate).

The coffee is processed at the Descafecol facility in Manizales. Here, water from the mountains and natural ethyl acetate extracted from sugarcane are used. The beans are gently steamed before being washed in this solution, which extracts the caffeine but leaves the good flavor compounds behind. The process actually adds an extra dimension of fruity sweetness to the beans.

Dedication to Quality

This coffee is the result of hard work from over 20 dedicated producers in the Huila region, along an isolated mountain range in the Andes. The coffee is grown in the areas around Pitalito, Acevedo, and Palestina. Each coffee cherry is carefully hand-sorted on the farms and dried with great precision to ensure pure and consistent quality before being sent to the decaf facility.
