A fruity coffee with notes of black tea, cherry pie & dark chocolate.

The Raro Boda processing station is owned and operated by coffee entrepreneur Negusse Debela Weldyes. Negusse has gained extensive experience working in the Guji region of Ethiopia.

Raro Boda is located east of Uraga, an area that has become renowned for its remarkable flavour profiles. The washing station was established in 2018 and is served by approximately 674 farmers who deliver red coffee cherries.

The factory produces a total of 800 bags (of 60 kg each) of specialty coffee annually. Recently, SNAP (our exporter and partner in Ethiopia) renovated the mill's fermentation tanks with ceramic tiles. This has contributed to an even cleaner and fresher final result in the cup.

This is a classic natural-processed coffee from Guji.

For the past 8 years, we have collaborated with local, Oslo-based artists to design new coffee bags. This year's coffee bags were designed by illustrator and artist Renate Thor. Renate participated in a coffee cupping at KAFFA, where we were challenged to use paint and shapes to express our experience of coffee instead of words.
These paintings formed the basis for a visual language that she used to create the design on the bags.
