The Hario V60 has long been the gold standard for pour-over coffee worldwide. With the new V60 NEO, Hario takes this legend a step further. This isn't just a new color or a minor adjustment; it's a complete upgrade in flexibility, material choice, and user-friendliness – designed for both the kitchen counter and your backpack.
One of the most important technical innovations in the NEO is the optimized rib design on the inside of the dripper. The many, dense ribs ensure that the coffee filter does not cling to the walls. This provides even airflow and allows the coffee to flow through faster. The result is a significantly reduced risk of the filter stalling, giving you a more consistent and controlled brewing process every single time.
The V60 NEO is made from Tritan™, a copolyester known for its extreme durability and clarity. The material is BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and virtually unbreakable. This makes the NEO the optimal companion for those who want the best coffee experience on the go.
Since the material also has good insulating properties, it maintains a stable temperature during the brewing process, outperforming glass and ceramics. This gives you better control and more precise extraction.
Another upgrade on the NEO from its predecessors is the removable silicone base.
For travel: Remove the base, and the dripper fits perfectly into most thermoses and travel mugs.
For the expert: The base of the V60 NEO can be replaced with a Hario Switch base. This gives you a complete toolkit where you can experiment with everything from pure percolation (pour-over) to immersion (steeping), or a hybrid of both. It offers endless possibilities to adjust the flavor profile of your favorite coffee from Kaffa.
Do you want the fastest V60 in the neighborhood? By combining the V60 NEO with the fast Meteor paper filters, you can push the boundaries of pour-over. The fast flow allows you to grind the coffee significantly finer than usual without the brew "stalling." The result is a cup with immense sweetness, clarity, and an extraction rate that truly brings out the unique flavor notes in our light roast coffees.
Tips from the roastery: Try using a slightly finer grind than usual with the Meteor filter. You'll be surprised how much sweetness you can extract without the coffee becoming bitter!
