The HARIO cold brewer has an attractive design, shaped like a wine bottle. The filter holds the coffee well and is easy to clean.
With the cold brewing method called "Mizudashi", where cold rather than hot water is used, you can easily make delicious iced coffee on a hot summer day! With cold water, fewer bitter substances like caffeine and tannin are extracted. The slow brewing allows the coffee's unique character to truly shine, resulting in a sweet and mild taste.
Brewing tips: Grind 45 grams of coffee, slightly coarser than French press grind. Place the coffee in the filter and screw on the lid. Attach the bottle spout before pouring 700 grams of cold water over it. Put on the stopper and gently invert the bottle to start the brewing process.
We recommend letting the bottle chill for 8-20 hours before removing the filter. It's a matter of taste, but leaving the bottle longer can result in a richer and more concentrated coffee. After brewing, gently invert the bottle before pouring the iced coffee into a glass with ice cubes, adding milk or cream if desired. Then, simply enjoy! Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
You can use any type of coffee, but we recommend coffees with floral and/or acidic notes, such as Kenyan coffee or our summer coffee.
Dewy fresh, delicious cold iced coffee for hot summer days or as a non-alcoholic alternative for meals or receptions.
