Damian is a second-generation coffee farmer and has been producing coffee since 2002. On his Finca La Palma, he grows Bourbon and Caturra. He was inspired to cultivate specialty coffee after one of his neighbours won a coffee competition. This has borne fruit, and in 2018, Damian came in 2nd place in the Cup Of Excellence.

Peru is a country that has been on our radar ever since 2012 when Robert first started CCS. There is access to many fantastic coffee lots here, but it has previously not been possible to find microlots with traceability down to individual farms.

Origin Coffee Lab is a young company located in Cajamarca. Established by Alex Julca and José Rivera, also known as Pepe, who comes from the area and knows it well. Alex grew up on a coffee farm and has extensive experience as a cupper, having worked with quality control for one of the largest cooperatives in the region. Pepe is the son of a coffee exporter and spent most of his childhood at a dry mill. He also brings expertise in roasting, having worked for several well-established coffee roasteries in the states.
