In 1967, Isidro Pereira established the coffee farm Fazenda IP. After completing his agricultural and farm studies, his son Luiz Paulo Pereira Sr. also joined the team. In 1974, the farm expanded, more and more coffee plants were planted, while the cultivated area grew by over 500% – and father and son became pioneers in coffee cultivation in Carmo de Minas, Brazil.
Around the city of Carmo de Minas, several of Brazil's best coffee farms are located. Altitude, nutrient-rich soil, and precise processing of the coffee cherries have led to farmers in this area being awarded many prizes for their excellent coffee in recent years.
