This is a step up into the professional world of espresso machines. This new model builds on the classic R58, which is probably the best-selling machine in the world in the 20-40 thousand kroner price range. R, as usual, stands for Rotary, and the R Cinquantotto is also equipped with dual stainless steel boilers, ensuring continuous operation with consistent temperature for both the steam arm and brew group. On the new included touch display, you can program the tank temperatures and, for example, have the machine turn on and preheat before you wake up in the morning. This alone is a gift for those of us who enjoy espresso or cappuccino for breakfast. You'll find the discreet automatic shot timer placed on the left side.
You also get two manometers for steam tank and group head pressure respectively. The R Cinquantotto can either be used with its built-in water tank or connected directly to the water supply.
The heart of this machine is still the classic E61 group head, in many ways the very symbol of Italian espresso worldwide from the 60s to today. Here, it is modernized and combined with contemporary technology.
This machine is designed to be proudly displayed on your kitchen counter or island, with elegant stainless steel surfaces on the back and sides. This makes it a classic Italian espresso machine in a modern package, with modern technology that meets today's demands for reliability and quality.
This is the machine for those who brew a lot of espresso for themselves, family, and friends. You are also discerning and quality-conscious and have, or are willing to spend money on, a grinder that can match it.
All Rocket R Cinquantotto machines are hand-built at the factory in Milan.
The machine comes with two portafilters, a blind filter for cleaning, an extra nozzle for the steam arm (for lower pressure), and a simple aluminum tamper.
