Typica and KAFFA are hosting the Norwegian Aeropress Championship at Vippa in Oslo, and you're invited! Whether you want to compete for the title of Norway's best Aeropress brewer, fantastic prizes, or just want to enjoy a great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, this is the day for you.

What is the Norwegian Aeropress Championship?

Forget everything you think you know about stuffy coffee competitions! The Norwegian Aeropress Championship is an informal, fast-paced, and incredibly fun competition where coffee enthusiasts of all levels meet to brew the best cup of coffee with an AeroPress brewer. The AeroPress itself is an ingenious little device, a kind of cross between a French press and a filter brew, that allows you to make fantastic coffee in a short amount of time.

The competition format is simple: Participants go head-to-head in elimination rounds. They only have five minutes to prepare, brew, and present their coffee to a panel of judges. The judges taste blind and point to their favorite, and the best cup moves on. It's all about taste, creativity, and a good atmosphere. In fact, the entire World AeroPress Championship (WAC) phenomenon started as a small, informal gathering here in Oslo in 2008, precisely to create buzz around the brewing method and offer a more fun alternative to more rigid competitions. Since then, the competition has exploded globally, with thousands of participants in over 60 countries.
There's always a great atmosphere at the AeroPress championships - meet other coffee enthusiasts and a fantastic audience!

The winner of the Norwegian Championship will not only receive honor and glory, but also win a trip to represent Norway in the World AeroPress Championship which will be held in Seoul, Korea later this year!


Whether you are an experienced coffee snob or just like to play around with coffee brewing, you are qualified - in the Aeropress NM the most important thing is to have fun, and then suddenly there will be a worthy winner left in the end.
